BACK FROM MILAN!!!
WOWWEE..What an AMAZING City!!!
The people, the Food, the, Fashion, the Architecture, The City!
On our first day we walked around the center, just exploring, seeing what we could come across. soo we started at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, which is right outside of the main cathedral in Milan, the Duomo! When we arrived they where erecting these massive hearts on to the ceiling of the 19th century beauty! After looking around the shops for a while we went to the Duomo! After looking around it first, we then decided to climb about a million stairs to see what wonders we could find on the roof!
Walking around some more after the Duomo, i came across my new Japanese friend who was rather well dressed, so i felt compelled to take a photograph!
Tired from a long day exploring, we came back from dinner to meet out new room mate!
Meet John, a 63 year old American man from Iowa working for the peace corp in the ukraine, traveling
around Italy, searching for a Cheese festival in Turin. John has a fascinating story about anything
and everything!
During our second day we where told about Milans markets, so we heading down to west
Milan, where we found the longest market i have ever seen! We found loads of stuff in the market, from
overrrrlyyy large mushrooms, to discount designer bags, yummy pizza and also the occasional
Straw weaver.
After a spot of lunch, we headed back into the center of town where we came across some anti-communist protests! It was a pretty crazy, but fun atmosphere! There was loads of rad hippies, old and young as well as rappers and the occasional skater! You could tell all these people had a MASSIVE passion for what they where fighting for!
In amongst the crowd was one lady who stuck out! she was chanting at the top of her voice! fuck knows what she was saying but it didn't even sound like it was anything to do with the protest. I think she was saying stuff about God, something to do with her beliefs maybe? Anyways, she has some crazy muscles on her and a pretty rad bike!
